Xp Users Challenge.
Monroe Computer Repair
As you may be aware on the 8th of April 2014, Microsoft will stop extended support for Windows XP SP3. So Windows 7 and 8.1 has been designed to meet these challenges and can give businesses a real advantage.
Speaking with our customers we realized that there are still many on XP and older versions of software. If you are Small business using QuickBooks and accepting credit cards, with the end of support for XP looming, you will need to look carefully at the compliance implications of support being withdrawn as this will affect the Public Sector Network (PSN) code of connection compliance (COCO).
What does this mean?
It means you should take action. After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. Security updates patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware and help keep users and their data safer. PCs running Windows XP after April 8, 2014, should not be considered to be protected, and it is important that you migrate to a current supported operating system – such as Windows 7, 8.1 – so you can receive regular security updates to protect their computer from malicious attacks.
Please give us a call and we will help you migrate from Windows XP.
